Decks are another large part of what we show. CS Consulting builds new decks, revitalizes existing ones, and converts outdoor structure into covered, screened space—using premium kiln-dried lumber or composite systems such as TimberTech, Trex, and AZEK.
Christopher R. Nusbaum of Trinity Plumbing described the work this way: impressive craftsmanship, knowledge, and experience—and if you can imagine it, he can build it. Decks are where that shows up in lumber, fasteners, and railings.
What we do
Deck work is structure first, then the walking surface and the details you live with. We plan it, procure the material, supervise a crew, coordinate any subcontractors, and stay in communication with you through quality control.
Work we have completed and photographed:
Custom decks in premium kiln-dried lumber, including railings and treads
TimberTech PVC decking and railing, built with CS Consulting features
Heavy-duty decks designed to a customer’s specific load needs
Deck revitalization
A privacy deck with rope-light posts built in by special request
An existing deck converted to covered, screened outdoor space
A premium dual staircase with TimberTech treads, Trex railing, and TimberTech hidden fasteners—plus a custom enclosed garden shed below the sunroom, with expanded vinyl lattice and ground-contact HDPE framing
See the photographs in the gallery. The staircase has its own write-up under Project Stories.
Materials and field work
Kiln-dried lumber, TimberTech, Trex, and AZEK are tools, not a sales pitch. We match the system to the use, the weather, and the house, and we talk through those choices with you. We read drawings, adapt in the field, and do not treat flashing, fasteners, and framing as afterthoughts.
Serving Wake County, NC and the surrounding areas. Related work: additions (three-season rooms and screened conversions) and structural repairs when the job is load, not just decking.
